Yuma County is the #2 agriculture-producing county in the State of Colorado with over $900 million of ag production annually. Cattle, corn, wheat, hogs, and sunflowers make up the largest sectors of our ag business, but crops like potatoes, grains like millet and milo, dairy farms, bison herds, and even a camel dairy all call Yuma County their production home. Yuma County consistently ranks in the top 100 agriculture-producing counties in the nation and is proud of our contribution to the state and local economy. In 2021, in response to a State-recognized Meat-Out Day, Yuma County recognized the third Monday in March as Yuma County Livestock Producer’s Day. In 2022, that idea grew into Yuma County Ag Week, which has now become an annual event.
